Community Action Promise

Business Development 

Small-business loans, training, and technical services are available to help start or expand small businesses and create jobs.

Free Income Tax Preparation

Trained volunteers provide free tax preparation assistance to qualifying individuals annually and help connect them with tax credits, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

Matched Savings Accounts

Eligible participants receive training, support, and up to $4,000 matched funding on their savings towards the purchase of their first home. Participants also receive access to financial counselors and homebuyer education.

Personal Loans

Personal loans with an affordable interest rate are available to qualified individuals for household expenses, car purchases, bill consolidation, and other needs.

Tourism Loans

Local economies are enhanced through this specialty loan program that enables tourism-based business owners to start or expand their businesses with below-market-rate financing int he Ninth Congressional District of Virginia.
